Shiloh Ridge

10/8-10/99

After a good night's sleep and morning camp coffee we met the softer crowd that stayed in a hotel and were ready to hit the trails.  We started out exploring some of the easier trails scouting the areas out.  We found some good hill climbs with ruts and drop-offs then someone came over the cb saying they had found some mud.  We spent the time before lunch at one of the mud holes on the property.  After lunch we hit some of the trails the owner had told us about for the rest of the day.

Here are a few pictures from Saturday.

The trails were scenic and very clean.

Todd shows how to go through the mud.

Mike checks the depth of a mud hole for us.

Sunday morning  we decided to hit the trails once more before heading for home.  We headed back to one of the spots we had looked at Saturday and went down some of the trails we missed .  We found some trails good enough for Ray to say as he spotted for us, "Do you want a picture run or all the wheels on the ground".  As time ran out for us to make it back to the house at a decent hour we found some pretty gnarly trails.  We decided to check them out on the next trip.

Here are some pictures from Sunday.

Todd makes quick work of a ravine.

I try a steep part of the trail while my wife takes pictures.

We were able to talk with the owner several times over the weekend.  We found him very helpful and easy to get along with.  He was open to ideas we had for trails on the property.  Expect to see more runs at Shiloh Ridge soon.
